Fields of Resonance
In this installation Francesco Pellisari explores sound
as a spatial phenomenon rather than a localized source.
At the centre of the room stands a single red object
— Punto Rosso Venezia.
Rather than projecting sound into the environment,
the object resonates with the architecture itself,
transforming the entire space into a vibrating body.
The sound becomes impossible to localize.
As visitors move through the room, they experience
a continuous sonic field that appears to emerge
from the space itself.
The installation challenges the traditional idea
of the loudspeaker as a visible technological device.
Instead, Pellisari proposes the concept of sonic architecture, where sound, space and perception merge into a single immersive experience.
